Some Screen shots of my website

This is my home page for my website, with 4 buttons which take you to different pages, when I first designed the website, I really wanted to have a big banner at the top with my logo, that I use for everything that I do. I wanted this to create a uniform with my work. I also wanted my website to be simple, not overly complicated because it would be hard for my to design and hard for a viewer to navigate. I quite pleased with the outcome of the webpage, and I will definitely change a few things in the future if I wanted to make it become a live website. I have learn t an awful lot over the last four weeks and I am just happy with the outcome that I have produced.

My Wireframe for my wesite :)

Bad websites, that make me feel sick.

This website on the other hand, is dreadful. It’s complicated and crowded, i found it extremely hard to navigate and I also found that I didn’t want to look anywhere on the website I just wanted to get away from it. The website designer clearly loved Princess Diana, but didn’t give her any justice by plastering pictures of her behind a bright yellow text that you can’t even read- when did anyone think that bright yellow was a great colour to communicate anything!!

Another website designer that thought bright florescent yellow was a great idea! Maybe they didn’t actually want anyone to read the text, because you actually can’t focus on any of the text. Why not just stick to black, surely if you’re debating between colours- black text is your best bet. And please do not scroll down this page, with the movement of the yellow text with everything else that is going on you might actually blind yourself.

Another beautiful website

Rob Ryan
This is Rob Ryans website, and I just knew that it was going to be super cute and beautiful.  It clearly demonstrates his work as an illustrator before I even start to look at his portflio. You immediately feel drawn to his work and this is because of the style and ease of his website. Its got to be simple and stylish and follow the traditional rules of a website build.

Example of Beautiful Website

An example of a beautiful wesite :)

Gemma Correll

This website is beautifully illustrated and demonstrates well the illustrators style and personality. I love how interactive it is, when you highlight over the different illustrations they light up with little red highlights. It still follows the traditional rules of website building, but approaching it from a very creative angle. I wish that my website could look something like this. It makes me want to explore the website and find out more about the illustrator.
